IntelliGO Network Access Control for Chromebook in Education

Most K-12 Educational Institutions are supporting 1-to-1 programs by offering Chromebook devices. These powerful and cost effective platforms are light-weight and cloud ready. For a safe browsing experience most institutions offer a closed network with authentication provided typically by a captive portal. IntelliGO can secure and simplify further allowing users to freely logon to the Chromebook and Single-Sign-On to the Network as well as Next Generation Firewalls without Captive Portals. To do this IntelliGO provides automatic distribution of machine certificates for persistent access to the wireless and forwards User to IP Mapping of logged on users to Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewalls at every logon.

In our Explainer Video we highlight the Features and Benefits of this Integration:

The Setup only takes a few minutes in the Google Administration console. Once ready, Thousands of Chromebooks can automatically configure themselves simulatenously by pushing policy from the console. After receiving policy, Chromebooks will enroll with IntelliGO without any user involvement on the device. In our tutorial video you can see the changes needed in the Google Administration Console to get started:

We were able to enroll 7,000 Chromebooks in 1 Hour during the first week of school

There are lots of benefits to this integration that help make the business case for IntelliGO at your Institution:

Simplify Network Authentication on the Chromebook by allowing users to sign on to the device and apply filtering on PAN NGFWs and URL filters without a captive portal.
User specific filtering and auditing of network traffic in NGFWs/URL filters by name, without user or on-device configuration
SSL-Decryption of Traffic to present block pages and inspect traffic for Malicious software in Next Generation Firewalls and URL Filters.

For many organizations IntelliGO also assists with BYOD and can do the same for Windows, Macintosh, iOS and Android devices. for a full list of features check out the IntelliGO Network Access Control platform overview by Clicking Here.
